 Well type gas carburizing furnace is a commonly used equipment in heat treatment processes, mainly used for surface carburizing treatment of metal materials. The working principle is as follows:

 
1. Raw material feeding: Metal parts are placed into the furnace through a loading device, and there is an open and closed feeding door in the upper part of the furnace, through which the parts are placed into the furnace.
 
2. Closed furnace chamber: After the feeding door is closed, the furnace chamber will be sealed to ensure that there will be no gas leakage during the treatment process.
 
3. Heating: The exterior of the furnace is heated to the furnace chamber through heating elements (such as electric heaters), raising the furnace temperature to the set temperature. Usually, the heating temperature is adjusted according to the requirements of the processed material.
 
4. Atmosphere control: During the heating process, the quenching agent (usually a gas rich in carbon atmosphere, such as methane, propane, etc.) provided by the heat treatment furnace chamber and gas supply device will absorb carbon atoms from the quenching agent on the surface of the parts, thereby achieving the purpose of carburization.
 
5. Cooling: After the carburization process is completed, turn off the gas supply device, cool the furnace chamber, and lower the furnace temperature below room temperature. Continuously replace the air in the furnace to ensure that the parts are cooled within a safe temperature range.
 
6. Part removal: After cooling is completed, open the furnace door to remove the carburized parts and complete the entire process.
 
Overall, the well type gas carburizing furnace utilizes heating and atmosphere control technology to infiltrate the surface of metal materials into an atmosphere rich in carbon atoms. Through reaction, a harder and more wear-resistant carburizing layer is formed on the material surface, improving the hardness and wear resistance of the material.
