The process of nitriding in a nitriding furnace, in simple terms, is to first introduce ammonia gas into the vacuum sealed tank of the nitriding furnace, then heat it to 520 ℃, and maintain it for an appropriate time. It should be determined based on the material of the workpiece and the infiltration layer, usually for 3 to 90 hours, to form a nitrogen containing strengthening layer on the surface of the workpiece, thereby improving the hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue strength of the workpiece.
